We love a good before and after story. The more dramatic, the better! Most importantly, we believe every home transformation comes down to creating a space that perfectly reflects your style and makes you happy. Check out a few of the most amazing before and afters we’ve completed; maybe they will inspire you to start your own redesign!
Catt, a former E! News host, loves a glam space and asked us to help create an elevated room that was ready for entertaining. “I think my personal style is warm and inviting, but also errs on the minimal side. I despise clutter or too much of anything. I don’t over accessorize when I get dressed, and I certainly don’t want too many knick-knacks in my home,” Catt told us. “Less is more.”
We kept some of Catt’s favorite pieces, including a mid-century modern credenza and added some new pieces, including lucite and gold pieces that dialed up the sophistication.
The Scandal actress was getting ready to welcome a baby into her home and wanted to create a family-friendly space that felt relaxed yet formal. “The night before we moved in, I was crying. There’s something about when you’re growing up, moving from your cool place into a not cool place, deciding to have a family,” Katie said. “We really needed a lot of help trying to get some of our spunk and pizazz back.”
For the formal living room, we offset more traditional materials with modern shapes and incorporated luxe materials like burl wood, velvet and brass.
Hayley, a Los Angeles native, moved into her house the week her son was born, so she didn’t have a lot of time or energy to devote to designing it. The house was a blank canvas and she was excited to start from scratch. “I had a very clear vision of what style I liked – transitional – which was depicted in numerous mood boards and inspiration photos,” Hayley told us.
With our help, she created a warm and welcoming space that is stylish and functional. “When we get home from work, we often start the evening in the sitting area, and progress to the living room at night. The house has an open floor plan, so it’s easy to flow from room to room. The bar area is perfect for entertaining,” she said.
