Like it or not, fall is here and the pumpkin spice lattes are flowing faster than the leaves are changing. And while we love to hate some of these famous fall cliches, we can’t deny the attraction of fall’s first chill. From decorative gourds to hay bales, we’re got your tips for getting into the sweater weather spirit in the chicest way possible.

Turn up the temperature with textiles: Cable knits are ready to come out of the closet this fall. Adding these thick knits to your space instantly creates a sense of warmth, while keeping your decor totally cool.

Set the scene with hay bales: Nothing says Fall quite like a good hayride. We’d prefer to keep our hay together. Ideal for seating large parties on a budget, hay bales can be covered in fabric to match any outdoor setting. We especially love layering a shearling hide on top for a super soft (and luxe) look!

Pile on the plaid: Transitioning your home for fall doesn’t mean that you have to swap out big pieces of furniture or get a new paint job. Easily adjust your decor for the new season by making a big impact with small items. We’re all about the elegant appeal of pillows, throws, and accents in a classic plaid pattern.

Add earthy elements with pumpkins: Keep the halloween decor from feeling too themed by going muted. Coming in a wide variety of shapes, colors, and sizes, gourds make for simple, yet stylish additions to any tabletop or front door.

The flavor of fall: Is there a better sign that summer’s over than Starbucks’ new menu rolling out? Pumpkin spice-flavored everything is that little something nice we look forward to the second Labor Day comes to a close. If these treats make us basic, then we don’t want to be anything else.
