He has impeccable style, a winning, pearly white grin and a serious Instagram following. There’s no denying that Geordi La Corgi — athlete, model, food enthusiast, and full-time cutie — is quite a catch.
In honor of National Pet Day, our resident dog whisperer (and interior designer), James Tabb, created the perfect pad for this lovable fur ball. And boy, we knew Geordi had style, but this modern mixture of decor is made for the princely pup. We caught up with Geordi to get his take on his new dog house.
Q & A with Geordi La Corgi
1. What do you think of your new space? What was your initial reaction when you saw it?
My first reaction was to go lounge on my gorgeous new bed. It was the bachelor pad of my dreams!
2. How did you want your space to look? How did your designer pull this off?
I fancy myself a fashionable and gentlemanly dog, so I wanted to make sure that my new flat reflected my style. I actually share the same birth date (7/22/2013) and name as Prince George Alexander (my American Kennel Club name is Golden Road’s George Alexander), so I love the artwork on the walls, which reminds me of my heritage and homeland!
3. What’s a typical day in the life of Geordi like?
I go to the office with my human every day. Usually, I’ll do my rounds in the morning to get pet by all my coworkers. I attend a few work meetings each day, but I like to take beauty naps in between – it’s hard being the center of attention all the time! I finish my day off with some agility training or fitness workouts.
4. What is your favorite design style? What elements of design are you drawn to?
I enjoy a mix of modern and classic, and I’m particularly fond of Scandinavian aesthetics. You can never go wrong with classics such as the Arne Jacobsen egg chair.
5. Describe your personality in 3 words.
Charming, flirty, confident.
6. What’s your favorite TV show?
Star Trek: The Next Generation will always be my favorite TV show, as I was named after Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge! I also love Sherlock, Doctor Who, and The Great British Bake Off.
7. What would you say your best asset is?
People tell me I have the perfect butt. I think they’re right.
8. What’s your favorite trick?
The burrito trick, where I grab one end of the blanket and roll myself into a burrito.
9. What outfit do you feel most confident in?
My everyday look is smart-casual – I love a good lightweight button down shirt, matching bowtie, and no pants.
10. How do you plan to spend time in your new bedroom?
I’m looking forward to relaxing with my lady corgi friends.
From the vintage Persian rug to the minimalist linens and sophisticated four-poster bed, this stylish room tells us that the dog days aren’t over for Geordi!
