Home Tour: A Rental Property That Actually Cares About Design

By: Sarah Beaumont

December 9, 2016

If you’ve ever searched for a rental property, you know that it’s hard to find one that actually cares about design. Ugly light fixtures, ho-hum paint colors and cheap finishes are generally the name of the game. That’s why the swank Richman Signature Properties Aurora apartments in Tampa have given us a serious case of real estate envy.

Picture this: An urban loft just a stone’s throw away from the beach, complete with a resort-style swimming pool and a fireside lounge. Residents get to choose from a hand-selected collection of on-trend paint colors and work with Laurel & Wolf’s interior designers to create their dream home.

Designer James Tabb tackled the model unit, mixing beachy glamour with industrial elements for their downtown Tampa units.

In the bedroom, a blend of industrial woods and metals adds edge while sea-blue walls, tropical plants and macrame lend a beachy bohemian vibe to the space.

From a copper clock to a photograph of a seaside village, the well-curated collection of accessories and art makes the room feel lived-in and on-trend.

Using a variety of texture is the key to a cozy space. James added a fluffy Moroccan rug, casual linen bedding, a fur pillow and a tassled throw to complement the angular headboard and metal accents.

No space is complete without a stack of killer coffee table books and thoughtful accessories.

An industrial console is the perfect display space for treasures and trinkets and provides ideal storage space.

In the living room, things take a turn for the glamorous with a wall of mirrors, a sheepskin throw, gold accents, and a pop of pink.

A pied-à-terre by the beach is now officially at the top of our Christmas list.
