Although Halloween is considerably creepier than the other 364 days of the year, most people focus less on the spooky aspects and more on putting together the perfect costume. However, there are some things that still put fear into our bones. Enter: the haunted house. America boasts a substantial collection of haunted houses and while these creepy residences may have dark histories, many of them also possess a hauntingly beautiful charm. From decrepit Victorian mansions to eerie Tudor homes, these are some of the creepiest and most exquisite haunted houses in the country.
