It was around the year 15,000 BC when someone had the brilliant idea to paint a scene on the wall of a cave, later to be known as the cave paintings of Lascaux. Lucky for us, the trend never really ended and we’re still adorning our walls with murals hundreds of centuries later. Read on to see the 7 murals we’re dying to paint on our own walls!

No need to save a stunning landscape for the outdoors when you can create an artistic imitation (or an artist can for you)! We bet everyday is a walk in the park with this gorgeous greenery donning the walls.

We have a special spot in our heart for abstract murals, too. With a neutral color palette throughout the space and limited décor, a pop of pattern and color like this makes for a seriously Pinterest-worthy living room.

We imagine bathing in a luxurious 19th century European villa felt something like this bathroom – minus the super-sized mural portraiture.

This modern chinoiserie mural gives the lucky dwellers of this home a pictorial journey just as they walk from the front hall to the upstairs.

Anyone could rest easy with this flash of stunning sky right next to their bed. Plus, it adds a touch of the outside world to this industrial loft.

Why not have a few tucans over for breakfast? We love the minimal color palette paired with detailed jungle species in this nature-inspired nook.

This boho-chic bedroom is made all the better with the mythical looking forrest that surrounds it. No nightmares in this room; we’re pretty sure it’s all fairy tales.
