It’s time to destroy the myth that city dwellers don’t know gardening. Sure, a city garden may not be anything from Alice in Wonderland, but a balcony, tiny terrace, or even a fire escape can make a great home for an urban garden.

Here’s our 7 favorites that prove a gorgeous garden is feasible in any outdoor space, no matter its size or location!


7. The Private Urban Oasis Garden

This private terrace may be small but it’s just the right size for a strong collection of potted plants and outdoor elements. It’s clearly in the city but we wouldn’t mind sipping our coffee out here every morning before a busy day.

If you have almost no gardening space, an arrangement of hanging potted plants will give your space a little green. Hang them over a small balcony, a kitchen window, or even near the front or back door.
