We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again — interior design is not just for celebrities or your rich auntie from Connecticut. Sure, style comes with a price, but it doesn’t have to be so outrageous that you have to eat top ramen for a few months.

At Laurel & Wolf, our designers are well-versed on creating high-style homes that don’t break the bank. So we challenged Catz Divirgilio of Blondiesloft to design the same glam bedroom at three different price points. What did she come up with? Read on to find out!

A glam bedroom dripping in glossy surfaces, lush fabrics, and sparkling decor for just $2k (a bed alone can cost that much!)? You better believe it. Catz made the space feel complete by using bold accents, like abstract wallpaper and a gold foil embellished triptych.

With a whopping $3,000 added to the budget, Catz was able to spend a little extra for a higher-quality bed frame, lighting, and side tables. She kept the original drapery and artwork, as well as the Moroccan bench at the end of the bed. Though the ivory, gray, and beige color story carries through, the pieces Catz chose for the $5,000 budget makes the room feel a bit more muted and refined.

With $10,000 in her budget, Catz was able to release the glamour in full force. A new tufted headboard spreads across the wall, a lavish, crystal drop chandelier hangs overhead, and she even swapped the original bench with a faux fur, gold stool. To complete the look, she added a painterly, gold and silver marbleized carpet that spreads luxurious vibes across the room.
