Ever wonder what makes a traditional or transitional design? We’ve got a few tricks that will help you detect the differences between the two. TRADITIONAL – Traditional design has its roots in 18th century England and French countryside. The style is known for its warm, inviting interiors that scream comfort. Bronze accents, a rich chandelier and luxe drapes are common in traditional interiors. Wall sconces with ivory shades and detailed millwork create a for a warm environment in the bathroom. Traditional color schemes typically include neutral tones with warm, rich woods.

We are delighted to announce a very special project we’ve been working on: Chriselle Lim’s nursery! The mommy-to-be is an iconic stylist as well as founder & editor of The Chriselle Factor. In August she announced her pregnancy and we were moved by her and her husband story. We were inspired to reach out to her and offer for a Laurel & Wolf designer to design their nursery to welcome their baby home. We’ve been following her pregnancy journey ever since, and are so excited that Chriselle & baby Chloe are both doing well.
Nursery design is SO MUCH FUN! We had the pleasure of working with MEG from What’s Up Moms in designing her nursery for new baby Ryder! The room was already set for a little ones but needed to have design and DIY charm added in for a calm sweet look for welcoming the new addition to the family. The Classic Design Package was selected and the goal was to stay in neutral grey tones with a few navy accents for baby Ryder! Check out the BEFORE, Style Board Design and AFTER photos here! Nursery
