Obsessed with the Instagram @thingsorganizedneatly?
We feel you. Part of our job is to make sure that spaces look beautiful, clean, and purposeful, so any trick that can easily transform a cluttered table into a 90 degree angle masterpiece is kind of our jam. Enter knolling (sometimes known as a flat-lay, but they’re slightly different), inspired by the clean lines of Knoll furniture and institutionalized by the artist Tom Sachs.
It might look a little OCD, but trust us, it will make even the most disorganized office desk look Instagram worthy! The tricks?
- Clear the space of everything you aren’t going to use.
- With everything left that you are using, group things in ‘like’ objects. Pens with pens, lipsticks with lipgloss, staples with staplers.
- Align or square all objects equal to the surface they rest on.
- 90 degree angles are king!
We know – could anything be more aesthetically pleasing?
